A second chance for glory!
September was National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in South Africa and GROW YOUR MO asked men across SA to help spread awareness and raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation by growing the most amazing moustaches they could muster.
Great was the furry fury, fearsome were the Mo’s and proud were the owners! After 30 days of grueling competition Emmanuel Sequeira of Fourways emerged victorious as the BEST MO ON SHOW competition winner, with a total of 217 votes and a staggering lead of over 150!
His “Wys jou MO” handle-barred masterpiece was widely praised by friends, peers and members of the general public. In fact, several petitions were made to Pretoria to declare it a national monument. Unfortunately, a majority motion was carried denying it that honour because of concerns that it might be misinterpreted by the world’s leading nations as a challenging gesture, akin to North Korea’s missile testing or Canada’s Tactical Polar Bear demonstrations.
Other winners from September included Lawrence Madzhie (The MO’ MONEY Draw) and Jonathan Augustyn (The MO’ MOVIE Draw). All the September’s winners received fantastic prizes sponsored by Video Town, including DVD players and contracts worth up to R 1500.00 each!
But now, with September behind us and Armageddon only due in 2012, what challenge can true South African men look forward to as a test of their manliness? The answer is of course nothing less than the month of November! This November, GROW YOUR MO will be giving everyone who stood on the sidelines last month another chance to man up, get stuck in and help protect the men of SA from prostate cancer.
So keep an eye on the website, follow the campaign on Facebook and get ready to take part in the greatest demonstration of masculine accomplishment since 23 January 1984, when Hulk Hogan used the power of his Mo’ to crush “The Iron Sheik” in Madison Square Garden – becoming the first man on earth to survive the dreaded “Camel Claw” grip and issuing in the Golden Age of HULKAMANIA!
I'm afraid it's just not possible, 007. With a license to kill and a moustache you would be a threat to the monarchy.
